American society promotes the notion that if you're a beautiful redheaded woman, you're some prize. But if you're a redheaded guy, you're despised. In the 40's and 50's, redheaded men were popular, even sex symbols.

I can tell you that I'm a redheaded man. I've dated many very beautiful women including a few models. It's all a state of mind. If you think you're sexy, you are and that resonates with the opposite sex.

So, folks, never underestimate us. We're powerful and enigmatic. We're unique and look at things differently. Red is a symbol of great strength. I am a redhead female. I love my red hair, but being a shy woman, it does make it difficult to fly under the radar. I have seen men and women with natural red hair and imitation coloring. Some are very attractive and some not very attractive...just like blondes and brunettes.
I find I have to try to explain why redheads are known to have tempers. That is very difficult for me. I am not a hot head...no more than a blonde or brunette. It takes a lot to push me over that edge. I have been told by many men that they found my red hair intimidating and beautiful. I think it was a just a line.

I guess they think we would have some different color there. Most "bottled" blondes I know (men and women), don't color below the belt...so, I'm going to assume it is innocent curiosity and not just rude behavior of the men I have met. Being a red head male, I'd say most people just think we are ugly.
I've been told if I wasn't a red head then I'd be more attractive. So I guess I am some what attractive, yet some girls can't get over the hair colouring.

I know not all red heads have freckles, as I don't. I have a fair amount of Spanish blood, and when I'm in an area that doesn't lack Ozone(I live in NZ) I can tan, not an intense, but I can cease to be pale.

Though I have a few gay friends, and they say in the gay male circles, there are guys who are chasers of red head men. :O

I just don't understand why some chicks think its okay to discuss the colour of my pubes... in public...

Red headed guys are HOTT.. im not a redhead but i personally am attracted to red head guys with blue eyes. Pale skin and freckles goes with the trait of having red hair. Its unique and makes them stand out in a crowd. If there hot its like a bonus package. What you made is a total blanket statment because you have not met all red headed guys or redheaded women. I think there are plenty of hot and unattracive redhead women as there are red headed men.
